1 - What are LinBrasil warranty polices?
LinBrasil warrants to the original purchaser the repair or replacement of any furniture which is defective in material or craftsmanship for a period of one year from the date of possession. The decision to repair or replace will be at the discretion of the manufacturer. Should LinBrasil determine that repair is impractical, you will be furnished with a substitute piece of the same style, stain color and quality. To make a claim, please contact the seller. Your original sales receipt and a picture of the warranty seal on the product will be required. The warranty does not cover leather and other fabrics ordered as customers own or special material. Normal wear and tear and damage of covers are not covered by the warranty.

PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR PIECE OF FURNITURE AS LINBRASIL WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE A PIECE THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED OR POORLY MAINTAINED.

2 - How to take care of the wood in the furniture?
Wood is a natural material subject to variations in color, grain, dimensional stability, pattern and texture. These inherent characteristics of wood make each piece unique. Occasional variations in color as well as knots, mineral streaking and pinholes are to be expected and should not be regarded as flaws. Like all organic materials solid wood is influenced by the environment and will likely change over time. Finished wood will slowly exchange water with the environment until it reaches an equilibrium. To minimize expansion and contraction movements due to moisture variation the air humidity should be kept between 40 and 50%. Wood requires a period of maturation before attaining its permanent coloration, which will grow richer over the years. This natural maturing or darkening process will vary in speed and intensity depending on the species and the lighting conditions.

:: Cleaning: Use a dry, clean and soft piece of cloth until all the dust is wiped. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry with a clean one.

:: Stains: Use a cloth damp with a diluted solution of water and neutral soap in order to remove the stain and then use a dry cloth to remove moisture.

:: Never use steel wool, solvents, turpentine or any oil/thinner based cleaners to clean or remove stains.

:: Keep furniture away from heating sources such as radiators or fire places to prevent loss of moisture.

:: Avoid exposing your furniture to direct sunlight to prevent fading or darkening of wood.

:: Avoid the furniture contact with water. Direct contact to water can damage the structure and appearance of the furniture.

:: Do not use the furniture as step ladder or support and the chairs as swing.

3 - How to take care of the leather?
Animal leather can be found in several thicknesses, patterns, colors and finishing. All leather has natural markings, including variations of shade and tone, nicks, scratches, and wrinkles. These characteristics distinguish genuine leather from man-made materials. Grain patterns and the color of the leather will vary from hide to hide and also within the same hide. These natural markings will not affect the durability or construction of your piece, but is your assurance that you have a true leather hide. Age adds character and reflects how the leather furniture has been used during its lifetime. Over the years, leather adapts itself to the user and develops a personalized and individual look. Dyes are absorbed differently throughout the hide and some color variation is normal and expected.

:: Cleaning: Use a white cotton cloth until all the dust is removed. When necessary, use a damp cloth and then a dry one. The movements should be longitudinal, not circular. Do not rub.

:: Stains: Use a cotton cloth damp with a diluted solution of water and neutral soap. After cleaning, remove the excess soap with a cloth damp with clean water. Let it dry naturally in the shade. Be sure that the piece is completely dry before using it.

:: Spilled Liquids: clean it immediately with a soft cloth before the leather absorbs it and stains are formed. In order to remove greasy products, sprinkle some talc on the stain and wipe the excess with a dry and soft cloth after a few minutes. After such procedures, the affected areas can be cleaned with a cloth damp with water and neutral soap. Wipe the soap excess with a cloth damp with clean water. Let it dry in the shade naturally.

:: Do not wet the leather excessively and avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight.

:: Avoid objects that are humid, hot, pointed and bleed ink.

:: Use of general household cleaning products, chemicals and abrasives are not recommended as they can break down the leather’s protective surface and cause damage. Never use harsh chemicals or cleaning agents (such as furniture polish, ammonia, or detergent soaps) on your leather furniture. Avoid all products containing solvents, silicones, or oils, as they may negatively affect the leather’s surface.

4 How to take care of the cane?
The wicker on the Oscar armchair and Lucio chair is made of natural cane. A cane seat is intended to take evenly distributed weight of the person sitting on the seat. Do not kneel on the cane seat or use it as a ladder or step stool. Doing so will cause the cane strands to break and the seat will need to be rewoven prematurely. Keep cane chairs and furniture away from extreme heat situations and areas with low humidity. These conditions could cause the cane to dry out and become brittle and break. Cane has natural elastic properties, but eventually the caned seat will begin to sag with heavy or prolonged use. Cane seats that are not too badly stretched can be revived by turning the chair upside-down and applying a warm, wet cloth to the underside of the cane seat. Let the cloth and cane dry naturally overnight. Remove the cloth and turn the chair upright and don’t let anyone sit on it for at least 48 hours. This treatment will dry and shrink the cane, tightening it up in the process, taking the pressure off the inside wooden edges.

:: To remove surface dust, regularly vacuum wicker furniture using the soft bristle brush attachment

:: Wipe up any spills with a clean cloth, damp with a diluted solution of water and neutral soap and then use a dry cloth to remove moisture.

:: Keep your furniture out of the rain and direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can make the wicker brittle and excessive moisture can cause the fibers to deteriorate.
